Lasaniya Bataka

  • 4 medium potatoes (boiled & cubed)
  • 12–15 garlic cloves
  • 3 dry red chilies
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice
  1. Grind garlic and dry red chilies into a coarse paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  4. Add garlic-chili paste and sauté until aromatic.
  5. Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
  6. Add boiled potatoes and mix well.
  7. Roast for 5–7 minutes until spicy masala coats the potatoes.
  8. Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander.
  • Use desi garlic for stronger flavor.
  • Slightly crush potatoes for better masala coating.
  • Add extra dry red chilies for Kathiyawadi-style heat.
  • Serve hot for the best spicy taste.
