Gulab Jamun
Ingredients
1 cup milk powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp baking soda
Milk as needed for dough
Oil or ghee for frying
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
4 cardamom pods
1 tsp rose water
Instructions
1 Prepare syrup: Boil sugar, water, and cardamom until slightly sticky. Add rose water and keep warm.
2 Make dough: Mix milk powder, flour, baking soda, and ghee. Add milk gradually and make a soft dough.
3 Shape balls: Divide dough into small smooth balls without cracks.
4 Fry: Heat oil or ghee on low flame and fry balls until golden brown.
5 Soak: Place fried gulab jamun into warm sugar syrup for 1 to 2 hours.
6 Serve soft and warm, or chilled as desired.
